“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. In those days Peter stood up among the believers—a group numbering about a hundred and twenty…” — Acts 1:14–15 (NIV)
Church family, just like that faithful group of 120 believers who gathered with prayer, purpose, and power in Acts Chapter 1, we at Henderson Chapel AME Church may not have 120 members—but we are a mighty group, because our faith is in Jesus Christ!
Today we’re launching the “120 Envelope Challenge”—a fun and powerful way to raise funds together. Each envelope is numbered from 1 to 120. If you choose envelope #17, you give \$17. Envelope #88? That’s \$88. If all 120 envelopes are filled, we’ll raise \$7,260 to support the work God is doing through this church.
We’re encouraging every member to participate—but don’t stop there! Reach beyond our four walls. Ask your friends, family, coworkers, and community partners to help us reach our goal. When we move in faith, God moves in favor!
The envelopes are here today, and you are encouraged to start. Let’s unite in faith and giving, just like those early believers, and trust that God will bless every hand that gives and every soul that sows.
Let’s rise to the challenge—together!
